At present I am helping my daugher with raising my 3 grandsons,  Fernando (6), Miguel(4), and Jadyn (14 Months). They are a handful however well worth the effort it takes. I have an Associates Degree in Health and Human Services, ad Substance Abuse Counseling. I worked as a Substance Abuse counsler for 4 years, and moved on to get my Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice, majoring in Pychology and Sociology.

Then I decided to take a position working for the State of Nebraska in Child Protection and Safety. I worked there for two years, and ended up in the hospital, diagnosed with C.O.P.D. which is Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. I am currently on disability due to my health. I had to resign my position because my doctor would not release me to work 40 hours per week, it was a full time postion, so I had no other choice but to resign. I really do miss my job, it was rewarding in many ways.

However now I can spend more time family and friends which is also rewarding in many ways. I love to teach, so I spend time with my grandsons teaching them things I beleive will help them in their lives. We do crafts and play video games, have spelling time and how to pronouce words correctly. We watch movies and pig out on popcorn and water, yes water. They are so used to drinking water, they hardly ever ask for pop, and when they do get pop it is considered a treat.

I consider myself disabled physically, however certainly not mentally or emotionally. Now I wish that smoking cigarettes were not so popular when I was growing up. Lord knows if I would have known then regarding cigarettes what I know now, I would have had an easier time quitting.

I also subscribed to several forums on line, Belief net which is a Spiritual Community, and a Amnesty International who are against the death penalty among many other social ills in our society. I also subscribe to South Gate and ABC news, and Google alerts which is about what is going on in the world today.

I have a fairly busy life and enjoy being on the net and reaching out to other people. I am a firm believer in God and consult him daily in my journal to God. Well that is about all I can think of for now, thank you for reading my bio, and have a great weekend.
